The head of the spine strip is damaged and the cardboard is exposed in a small area at the head of the cfront cover were the marbled paper has scratched off.There is a rather beautiful book plate on the front paste down as well as a roman bookseller's label. There are two staps on the title page, one from the original owner and another from a neopolitan bookseller. The pages have been rough cut. Generally the body book is in very good condition apart from minor foxing, clean and solidly bound.
