The book suffers from the usual library stamps: discard stamps, ownership stamps, accession numbers, and library pocket. These are limited to the preliminaries and backe end papers, as well as the fore-edge and tail. The pages are yellowing. Apart from these faults, the book appears to have never been borrowed. It is interesting how the dialogue has changed. Penguin provides a list of subject entries in the copyright page, not one is surrogacy.
