The Pytchley Hunt; Past and Present. Its History from its Foundation to the Present Day; With personal anecdotes, and biographies of the masters and principal members; Including the woodlands; and unpublished letters of Sir F. B. Head. Second Edition
The boards are in atrocious condition: the edges are chipped and cloth completely discoloured. On the front board it has formed a frame around the middle which has retained its original red, the back as an L shape, while the spine is completely washed out. The faux ribbon across the front cover has mostly surviived intact, except for the head and tail, which suffers some loss. There is a neat ownership signature on the front end paper.Internally there is intermittent foxing, apart from which the pages are unmarked; the spine is cracked at page 96/97, though the binding remains very good. There are six plates, all with their protective tissue. A not quite very good copy in poor boards. "The Pytchley Hunt is an organisation formerly based near the Northamptonshire village of Pytchley, but since 1966 has had kennels close to Brixworth. The Pytchley country used to include areas of the Rockingham Forest but was split to form the Woodland Pytchley Hunt. Today, it covers an area of western and central Northamptonshire characterised by rolling hills, hedgerows and small areas of woodland."
