There is a stain on the front board, which could be wax and the edges are slightly rubbed.It is also canted. Internally the book is clean and solid. A very good used copy. The books cover the lead up to the second Boer War through to the outbreak of WWII. The trilogy consists of :"Commando: A Boer Journal Of The Boer War", "Trekking On", dealing with the Boer War through World War I, and "No Outspan", which covers life in South African politics between the wars and concludes with him as Deputy Prime Minister of South Africa.
