Without specific faults, apart from staining on the end paper and the back of the wrapper, the book has been well loved, and it shows it. What makes this copy interesting is that it belonged to Jean Galbraith, her book plate is on the front paste down. It was also a presentation copy from Theo Stephens, editor of "My Garden", presumably as the last article in the book is by her. Glued to the front end paper is a compliment card from Stephen and a handwritten quote on the head of the page. The writing could be Galbraith's. ("Brother, let us one day leave the care and guidance of the world to God, and thou and I go fishing" A friend speaking to Martin Luther) On the verso of the front end paper there is a letter from Stephens to Galbraith, also glued to the page, which talks in part about the closure of "My Garden" the magazine.
