The jacket is torn with loss at the edges and at its head; the fore-edge is foxed and there's a newsaper cutting relevant to the book that has bin pinned to the front end paper and the half title page. The body of the book is in excellent condition. There is a loose insert from "The Expository Times" about Bishop Barnes, dated 5/80
