There are 37 loose prints, as per Contents page, contained in a box and an introduction by Heyworth Campbell as well as the Contents page. Th prints are in alphabetical order of the photographer, whose name is listed at the back of the photo, as well as the title. Two prints are coloured. The photographers are European and American. The box, though shelf soiled and very lightly knocked, is in very good condition and still retains the original flap which allows the lifting of the prints from the box. The prints themselves are immaculate. There is a neat ownership signature on the inside of the box dated 1937. However I was unable to determine whether this was the 1935 or 1937 edition, as no listing included the quantity of prints or photographers represented , only the publication data. This portfolio.includes Edward Alenius, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Dr. Adolf Fasbender. Pictorialism is the name given to an international style and aesthetic movement that dominated photography during the later 19th and early 20th centuries.
