Over its life, the album has had a series of running repairs: the spine has been reinforced with linen tape, which is frayed head and tail, the front hinge has been glued to the front cover, but too tightly, which means that the title page does not fully open towards the middle and the back hinge has been reinforced with acid free tape. Internally the book is clean and unmarked and the binding still good, though the book does need to be treated with respect. 71 pages. From the title page: "the songs selected, edited and annotated by Donald Ross ; the accompaniments composed & revised by Alfred Moffat." Songs arranged for contralto and piano.
