The covers are lightly shelf stained and the book is foxed throughout; it once belonged to 'The Herald (Melbourne)' and its stamp is found intermittently thoughout the book, including on the edge of some of the plates; the frontispiece is missing and it appears a page preceding the back end paper is also missing, though the text is complete. In its favour the binding is solid and unmarked, but I admit it's a copy that is unlikely to win a beauty contest courtesy of the foxing and 'The Herald' stamp. 269 pages.
