120 pages illustrated. The boards are stained and chipped along the edges, though this does not affect the paste down illustration. The pages are foxed, the front hinge has a short tear, page 3/4 a tiny closed one along the blank outer edge; and the frontispiece has a light crease running diagonally across the page which miraculously is not visible on the illustration. Apart from the foxing, the book is clean, unmarked and solid. No publication date offered, 1874 is taken from Harvard University Library. Harvard also attributes the authorship to Dr. Fidel Fidelius, not C.F.A Kolb as do other libraries. Includes five full page coloured lithographs. Despite its faults, it remains an attractive copyt.
