No publishing date is offered, and I have taken 1872 from listings in worldcat, though it could be an 1870 printing. There is an ownership signature on the front end paper dated1897, with no publications listed after 1870 and 1872 matching the publisher. The boards are lightly chipped, the verso of the title page has been reinforced, and the spine is lightly cracked at the head between pp. 62-63.; a very small section reinforced at the head.There is also reinforcing tape running vertically along the hinge of both paste downs. All repairs have been beautifully done. Finally there is intermittent mild foxing throughout the book and a two tiny short tears on the outer edge of the title page. Overall a very nice copy.
