3 volumes, oblong format. Volume 1: Table Alphabetique des Airs Contenus Dans Ce Recueil " Volume 2 "La cle? du Caveau : a` l'usage de tous les chansonniers franc?ais,...." Volume 3: The score. In all 3 volume the boards are chipped at the edges and badly rubbed Volume 1 & 2 have new front end papers, though the old have been retained. In Volume 1 the spine is chipped head and tail. The body of the book is clean, unmarked and solid. Despite its faults, and it's a set not recommended for the perfectionist, I would not call it an ugly duckling, but rather a grande dame with character. A very good copy in good only boards. I could not find a reference to a three volume set, so it is possible that this is a rebind of an original single volume. Still in Volume 1 the original receipt Berlin 1909.
