Two odd Volumes from a six volume set, (though Trove includes this note: "L'ouvrage devait avoir 10 volumes, mais la publication parait abandonne?e."--Otto H. Lorenz.) Tome Deuxieme : Suède Et Norvège-Danemark- Prusse (381 pages, 1843). Tome Quatrieme Grande-Bretagne Tome II (504 pages, 1846). The two volumes are in almost identical condition: The spine strip is hanging on by a thread and the boards are very, and I mean very, badly rubbed and badly chipped at the edges. Both suffer from intermittent foxing throughout, which can be quite nasty. In its favour, the binding is solid, and excluding the foxing, both are clean and unmarked.A not quite very good copy in poor boards. Edouard Ferdinand de la Bonniner Vicomte de Beaumont-Vassy,born 1816, died 1876, was a French writer and politician. Beaumont-Vassy published a number of literary, political and historical writings. Among the latter, some relate to Sweden's history, for which country Beaumont took an interest during a diplomatic mission in Sweden." (Wikipedia)
